Sustainable Recruitment at Land Life

Land Life runs reforestation projects around the world. Using smart technologies, the company plants trees and monitors their development. The significant company has now planted more than 10,1 million trees, restoring approximately 11.000 hectares of destroyed land.
The question;
Land Life did not have a separate Recruitment department and recruitment was handled by HR and the Hiring Managers. All candidates came through Recruitment & Selection agencies, there was no focus on recruitment, the right people were not yet found and Land Life as a sustainable top of mind employer was unknown. There were 20 vacancies in the Netherlands, Australia and the USA.
Our commitment
We started LandLife’s Recruitment department with Guido as Head of Talent Acquisition and Thao as Recruiter. We scale up and down with additional talent sourcing when additional capacity is needed.
The result
We have created a Recruitment Plan, determined the recruitment strategy and started with new vacancy texts and recruitment of the right profiles. We proactively approached candidates, but also ensured that vacancies were visible in the right places. The Hiring Managers have received interview training and receive a weekly report with recruitment data. Over the past 6 months, we have filled all vacancies with the right candidates within the desired period. At Land Life, the Hiring Managers can once again focus on only selecting the best candidates, but they are otherwise completely unburdened in terms of Recruitment. Because there was a lot of pressure on the HR administration due to more onboarding, our HR OPS specialist started to provide support here.
Daniëlle Eggen – Head of People & Culture. “We are very satisfied with the professionalism and results-orientedness of De Wervingsfabriek.” It feels like they are our own recruitment department.
